Ferrari SF-24 Gearbox Packaging: Published Technical Analysis

Ferrari SF-24 Gearbox Packaging: Published Technical Analysis

The SF-24 in context

The SF-24 was Ferrari's 2024 Formula 1 car. Discussion of its gearbox should distinguish published technical observations from assumptions about proprietary internals, clutch materials or control strategies.

What Formula 1's analysis reported

Formula 1's February 2024 technical analysis described a gearbox casing understood to be approximately 5 cm shorter, with a corresponding increase in chassis length. The analysis related that packaging change to additional space around the diffuser. This was a reported technical assessment, not a published workshop specification.

What the report does not establish

That observation does not provide rebuild procedures, detailed clutch calibration or proof of a connection to a particular Ferrari road-car part. Claims about internal algorithms, undisclosed materials or future development should not be presented as established facts.

Keep road-car service separate

A Ferrari road-car hydraulic hose, automated-manual clutch or dual-clutch transmission must be selected for its documented road-car application. GTE Engineering's road-car listings should not be interpreted as SF-24 parts or evidence of involvement in Ferrari's Formula 1 programme.
