What the Rebuild Includes

How the Send-In Service Works

Technical Questions

Is this a replacement unit or a rebuild of my own unit?

This listing is a rebuild service for your customer-supplied hydraulic unit. It is not a core-exchange purchase or an immediately available replacement assembly.

Is a new accumulator included?

No. The existing accumulator is tested. If it requires replacement, GTE provides a separate price for approval.

Will rebuilding the pump resolve every SMG warning?

SMG warnings, slow pressure build-up, frequent pump cycling and gear-selection faults require diagnosis. The installer should check the battery supply, relay, fuse, wiring, fluid condition, leaks and stored fault codes. Clutch wear, actuator faults and other vehicle issues may require separate repairs.

Are a relay, fuse, reservoir or installation included?

These items are not included in the listed rebuild scope unless specified in your written quotation. The installer should inspect the pump electrical supply and switching circuit and replace faulty components before operating the rebuilt unit.

What warranty applies?

Under GTE's published policy, hydraulic-unit rebuilds carry a 90-day limited warranty covering workmanship and rebuild-related materials, subject to the installation requirements, conditions and exclusions in our Warranty and Rebuild Coverage.
