Aston Martin Flywheel Servicing

GTE Engineering services customer-supplied Aston Martin flywheels, including original V8 Vantage single-disc applications and twin-disc flywheels used in V12 applications or compatible V8 clutch conversions. The installed flywheel and clutch combination must be identified before service.

This is a service of your existing flywheel. A new flywheel, clutch kit, conversion kit, release bearing and vehicle installation are not included.

Type 1: Original V8 Vantage single-disc flywheels

• 6G33-6375-DD (6G336375DD): original V8 Vantage 4.3-litre flywheel reference.
• 9G33-6375-AB (9G336375AB): original V8 Vantage 4.7-litre flywheel reference from 2009 model year.

Have your dealer or qualified installer verify the VIN, engine, manual or Sportshift/ASM transmission, and installed part number. These references identify different applications and are not interchangeable part numbers.

Type 2: Twin-disc and lightweight upgrade flywheels

Flywheel servicing is also available for customer-supplied Aston Martin twin-disc assemblies, including V12 Vantage applications, DBS manual applications, DB9 manual cars fitted with the appropriate twin-disc arrangement, and V8 Vantage cars already fitted with a compatible twin-disc conversion.

• OE reference 8D33-6375-CA (8D336375CA): single-mass flywheel catalogued with the V12 Vantage twin-disc clutch system. Confirm the actual flywheel identification and vehicle application.
• Lightweight and aftermarket flywheels: manufacturer-specific versions require the maker's reference, photographs and confirmation of the installed clutch before the service scope is agreed.
• V8 Vantage twin-disc conversions: identify the conversion-specific flywheel. A V12 clutch reference alone does not establish that a V12 flywheel fits a V8 engine.

Related twin-disc clutch reference: AD23-7540-AB. This identifies a clutch assembly, not a flywheel. Original V8 single-disc, OE V12 twin-disc and aftermarket conversion flywheels must be assessed as their own assemblies.

Flywheel service and quotation

Flywheel service: $340 USD. Contact GTE before ordering or shipping to confirm the flywheel type, condition and approved service scope. Additional work or replacement parts require a separate quotation.

Provide engine size, transmission type, flywheel identification and clear photographs of both faces. For a converted vehicle, include the clutch and conversion details. The quotation defines the inspection and approved work after the flywheel's condition is assessed. Machining and balancing must be agreed for the specific assembly; a damaged or previously modified flywheel may require a different repair approach or replacement.

Clutch rebuilding, release bearing or slave cylinder, hydraulic-system repairs, installation and vehicle calibration are separate unless included in the written estimate.

Photograph identification

The photographs show different flywheel service examples, including a lightweight upgrade design. A photograph is not proof of an OE part number or interchangeability. Confirm the markings on the actual flywheel before ordering.
