Investigating an engine knock.

This Aston Martin racing car came to GTE with a knocking sound. We investigated with a digital vacuum check, compression testing and cylinder leak-down testing. After reviewing the situation with the racing team, we decided to proceed with an additional engine.

Supplying and installing the engine.

GTE supplied and installed the engine for the team. The photographs show the race car and engine assembly during the workshop project.

Clutch and Sportshift (ASM) tuning.

The car also had clutch and Sportshift (ASM) concerns. GTE reprogrammed the ASM and tuned the Sportshift system for this car. Together with PEGA Clutch® and our workshop services, the result was seamless shifting without the previous banging.
