In-house mechanical transmission rebuilding, with coordinated clutch and automated-manual system support from GTE Engineering in Orange, New Jersey.
A gearbox problem can involve the internal transmission, the clutch, the hydraulic controls, or more than one system. We rebuild Graziano transmissions in-house and assess the surrounding systems so the repair scope addresses the actual fault.

The gearbox and the system around it
Graziano is a transmission manufacturer. F1, E-Gear, Sportshift/ASM and Cambiocorsa describe vehicle-specific shifting systems or operating concepts. Those names alone do not identify the gearbox, its parts, or the correct repair procedure.
Ferrari: manual and F1 applications
GTE rebuilds Ferrari Graziano transmissions in-house, including the 360 and F430 services in our catalog. On F1-equipped cars, the mechanical gearbox works with a clutch and electrohydraulic controls. Confirm the vehicle, gearbox identification and part number before selecting a service.
Lamborghini: manual and E-Gear applications
Mechanical transmission rebuilding and E-Gear actuator work are distinct services. We evaluate the gearbox and the relevant control components for the exact vehicle. Gallardo E-Gear applications should not be confused with the Aventador’s ISR system or Huracán dual-clutch transmissions.
Maserati: Cambiocorsa, DuoSelect and MC Shift
We rebuild Graziano transmissions used in applicable Maserati automated-manual vehicles. The model name alone is insufficient: some model ranges also include conventional automatic versions with a different transmission and repair path.

Completed GTE rebuild: the Maserati GranSport transmission shown above was fully rebuilt in-house. For a similar job, provide the VIN, gearbox identification and diagnostic findings. Explore Maserati vehicle service and repair or request a transmission rebuild quote.
Aston Martin: manual and Sportshift/ASM
GTE’s in-house transmission service is supported by our Aston Martin ASM/Sportshift hydraulic rebuilding capability. Identify the precise gearbox and Sportshift generation; a manual or Sportshift application is not interchangeable with a Touchtronic automatic.

Related systems: BMW SMG and dual-clutch transmissions
BMW SMG uses a related automated-manual concept, but it is not a Graziano application by default. For example, BMW specifies a Getrag gearbox for the E46 M3 SMG. Our SMG services belong under related automated-manual support. McLaren Graziano DCT and Getrag 7DCL750 services also have their own service paths.
Fitment is confirmed by VIN, model year, transmission identification and part number. This overview is not a universal compatibility list.
Lamborghini Aventador Graziano ISR
A dedicated transmission architecture
The Aventador uses a seven-speed ISR (Independent Shifting Rods) gearbox. This application has its own transmission architecture and service requirements, distinct from the Gallardo E-Gear system.
GTE Engineering provides in-house Graziano transmission rebuilding. For an Aventador enquiry, provide the VIN, transmission identification, diagnostic findings and repair history so the scope can be assessed for the specific unit.

What an in-house rebuild involves
1. Identify the transmission and the complaint
Provide the VIN, model year, mileage, gearbox identification, symptoms, fault codes and previous repairs. Tell us whether the issue occurs cold, hot, during gear selection, under load, or while disengaging the clutch.
2. Tear down, inspect and measure
The mechanical inspection covers the applicable gears, shafts, bearings, synchronizers, hubs, sleeves, selector components, housings, seals and gaskets. The findings determine which parts can be retained and which require repair or replacement.
3. Confirm the repair scope
A tear-down and inspection is not the same as a completed rebuild. The estimate identifies the required work and parts. Replacement components, clutch work, sensors, electronics and hydraulic refurbishment must be specified in the approved scope; they are not automatically included.
4. Rebuild and verify
Approved repairs are completed in-house, followed by assembly and checks appropriate to the gearbox and agreed service. Vehicle-side installation, fluid service, bleeding and diagnostic setup may also be required. Confirm responsibility for these operations with GTE and the installing workshop.
Symptoms that deserve a proper diagnosis
Grinding or difficult engagement: possible clutch-release, synchronizer, selector or control-system concerns.
Noise under load or on overrun: investigate the gearbox, bearings, final drive and related driveline components.
Unexpected neutral, rejected shifts or warning messages: assess hydraulic pressure, actuation, sensors, electrical supply and mechanical operation.
Leaks or contamination: identify the source and affected circuit before prescribing a repair.
These are diagnostic starting points, not diagnoses. A fault code or symptom alone does not prove that the complete transmission needs rebuilding.
Mechanical precision. Coordinated controls.
Hydraulics, sensors and electrovalves
An automated manual relies on its control system to select gears and operate the clutch. Pumps, accumulators, hydraulic lines, electrovalves, actuators and sensor feedback must be considered alongside the mechanical gearbox where applicable.
The exact service inclusions depend on the unit. On the Gallardo LP/R8 actuator listing, sensors are tested but not included; damaged sensors or electrovalves can require additional parts. Review the specific product description and estimate before ordering.
Clutch and flywheel support
Clutch condition, release operation and the applicable setup procedure affect how an automated manual behaves. PEGA clutch rebuilding and suitable flywheel or balancing services can be coordinated separately. A clutch rebuild, actuator rebuild and internal transmission rebuild are different scopes of work.

Graziano rebuild questions
Do you rebuild the transmission in-house?
Yes. GTE Engineering rebuilds Graziano transmissions in-house for Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati and Aston Martin applications. Contact us with the transmission identification and vehicle details so we can confirm the correct service.
Does an F1 or E-Gear warning mean the gearbox is damaged?
Not necessarily. Clutch, hydraulic, sensor, electrical and mechanical faults can produce overlapping symptoms. Diagnosis determines whether the gearbox, control assembly, clutch or several components need attention.
Are all replacement parts included in the initial fee?
Do not assume so. Tear-down/inspection and complete rebuilding are different stages. The product listing and written estimate define what is included, which parts are additional and which related services are authorized.
Can I send the transmission to GTE?
Yes, our Ferrari 360 and F430 catalog services are send-in rebuild services. Arrange the job with GTE before dispatch, confirm what must be included, and follow the shipping instructions for secure packaging and identification.
How much will it cost, and how long will it take?
Final cost and timing depend on the transmission, condition, inspection findings, approved scope and parts availability. Request an assessment instead of relying on a universal price or turnaround promise.
What happens after the rebuilt unit is installed?
The installing workshop must complete the applicable fluid, bleeding, learning and calibration procedures and verify operation on the vehicle. Requirements vary by system; bench checks do not replace the vehicle-side setup.
