McLaren service, diagnosis and transmission repair
GTE Engineering offers independent McLaren service assessment, maintenance and repair, including inspection and rebuilding of applicable Graziano seven-speed dual-clutch transmissions and separate shift actuators. Confirm the VIN and installed transmission before selecting a service.
Maintenance and complete-vehicle diagnosis
- Engine and cooling: investigate running concerns, oil or coolant leaks and cooling-system operation within the agreed inspection scope.
- Routine service: review fluid and filter needs, service records and wear-related maintenance for the vehicle specification.
- Chassis and electrical: assess brake, steering and suspension concerns, starting and charging performance, warning messages and supported electrical or climate-system faults.
Graziano seven-speed DCT rebuilding
Our McLaren transmission listing, reference 11G3000CP, provides different service stages for the customer-supplied gearbox. Identification and inspection determine which work applies.
- Stage 1: complete disassembly and inspection only.
- Stage 3: disassembly, replacement and installation of the A-Service kit, plus mechatronic cleaning and testing.
- Stage 4: Stage 3 work plus gear synchronizer changes.
Clutch packs, gears, shafts, sensors, electronics and other additional repairs are included only when specified. Removal, installation, fluid requirements and vehicle commissioning must be arranged separately from the shipped-component service.

Shift-actuator repair is a separate service
GTE also offers rebuilding for applicable McLaren DCT shift actuators, with primary references 14GA011CP and 13GA004CP. Match the actual unit and transmission identification before ordering. A shift-actuator repair and a complete mechanical gearbox rebuild are different scopes.

What helps us investigate a shifting concern?
Provide the diagnostic report, which gears are unavailable, whether the concern occurs hot or cold, any slipping or unusual noise, visible leaks and prior repairs or modifications. We assess the relevant electrical supply, control, fluid, cooling and mechanical evidence before recommending work. A fault code alone is not an instruction to replace the complete transmission.
McLaren service questions
Does Stage 1 include repair parts?
No. It covers disassembly and inspection. The findings support a separate repair estimate.
Can you assess the car and handle installation?
Request a workshop appointment to confirm vehicle coverage and agree diagnosis, removal, installation and applicable setup as part of the vehicle job.
How long does a rebuild take?
Timing depends on the received condition, approved scope and parts availability. Confirm a schedule after the unit and required work have been assessed.
Arrange your McLaren service visit
Send the VIN, model, year, mileage, service records, symptoms and available fault codes. Tell us whether you need maintenance, diagnosis, vehicle repair or a removed-component rebuild. Confirm the current workshop location and arrival arrangements before transporting the vehicle.
Diagnostic labor, repairs, parts and additional services follow the approved estimate. If another workshop installs a rebuilt component, coordinate vehicle-side checks and commissioning with that installer.
