Ferrari FF & GTC4Lusso 4RM PTU Rebuild

GTE Engineering rebuilds the front Power Transfer Unit (PTU) used in applicable Ferrari FF and GTC4Lusso 4RM vehicles. The front PTU is a separate assembly from the rear transmission. Provide unit identification and diagnostic findings before selecting a service.

Recognize the PTU and its components

Explore the engine-facing side, hydraulic controls and internal service components below. These are service-reference photographs; the selected rebuild stage defines the work included.

Selector forks, shafts and locking pins

The PTU has two selector forks: one for first and second gear, and one for reverse. The pictured internal parts undergo cleaning and reconditioning before resealing and reassembly.

Related power-unit, hose and oil products

The power-unit assembly is shown with high-pressure and return hoses and oil bottles. GTE manufactures the high-pressure hose in-house. Oils are sold separately; confirm power-unit and hose work in the written service scope.

PTU Identification

Ferrari FF 271091, 276013, 285958 and 305902 are PTU assembly references. Supplier catalogues show the progression from 271091 to 276013, then 285958 and 305902. Match the installed unit and production specification.
Ferrari GTC4Lusso 324841 is a PTU assembly reference in the GTC4Lusso parts catalogue. The FF and GTC4Lusso references are not a blanket interchange list.
Purchase scope Send-in service for the existing front PTU at the selected repair stage. A replacement PTU or rear-transmission rebuild is not included.

Choose the correct service stage

The selected stage defines the work included. An inspection or targeted repair is not the same scope as a full PTU rebuild.

  • Stage 1: right-side end-shaft bearing replacement and full inspection.
  • Stage 2: PTU rebuild addressing the most common internal leak concern.
  • Stage 3: PTU rebuild with the Power Bearing Upgrade.
  • Stage 4: full rebuild including SX and DX clutch sets and the work specified in Stages 3 and 1.

Inspection, rebuilding and testing

Depending on the selected stage and inspection findings, work involves disassembly, seal and gasket replacement, bearing and internal-component assessment, hydraulic pump inspection, resealing and reassembly. Final bench checks cover pressure, engagement function and leaks. Additional damage and work outside the selected stage must be identified in the estimate before proceeding.

Fluids: gear and hydraulic oils are sold separately. Confirm filling, delivery condition and installation requirements for your job before dispatch or fitting.

Plan the complete repair

Discuss any bearing, cooling or calibration upgrade request with GTE before ordering; availability and scope must be confirmed for the specific PTU. Vehicle diagnosis, removal, installation and commissioning must be coordinated separately with GTE or the installing workshop. A component rebuild does not establish the condition of every vehicle-side system.

Contact GTE with symptoms, fault codes and unit photographs to agree the service stage, additional work and receiving arrangements.

Guides and next steps

Part selection responsibility: GTE Engineering does not provide VIN-to-part checks or fitment confirmations. The customer or sender is responsible for verifying part numbers, vehicle compatibility and the correct part before ordering or sending any component.
