GTE Engineering is an independent specialist workshop offering Aston Martin service assessment, diagnosis and repair. We also handle applicable removed-component rebuilding requests for owners and installing workshops. Confirm capability and availability for the exact vehicle and proposed work before booking.
ASM/Sportshift and clutch assessment
GTE provides quote-based inspection and rebuilding for applicable ASM/Sportshift hydraulic units and actuators. A hydraulic pressure-supply fault, gear-actuator fault and worn clutch require different assessments. The dedicated ASM guide explains what information to provide and how work is quoted.
Applicable PEGA clutch listings include selected DB7, DB9, DBS, Vantage, Zagato and One-77 assemblies. Transmission identity, flywheel arrangement, release system and any previous conversion must be confirmed before selecting parts or a rebuild stage.

Workshop services
- Diagnostics: assess electrical, hydraulic and mechanical evidence before defining a repair.
- Maintenance: plan fluid, filter, leak, timing and wear-related work for the vehicle’s specification and history.
- Clutch and drivetrain: assess the installed system and available repair, rebuild or replacement options.
- Brakes, suspension and steering: inspect reported concerns and agree the required work.
- Electrical and climate systems: investigate faults within the supported application and agreed scope.
- Restoration or upgrades: discuss feasibility, parts and project requirements separately.
Vehicle diagnosis and component rebuilding
Workshop diagnosis evaluates the complete vehicle. A send-in service examines the removed assembly within its agreed scope. Component test results cannot establish the condition of every vehicle-side circuit, cooler, harness, clutch or installation. If another workshop removes and installs the part, it remains responsible for its vehicle checks and commissioning.
