PEGA Clutches: Stage 1 Organic and Stage 3 Kevlar

What the stage names describe

PEGA Stage 1 and Stage 3 identify different clutch options offered by GTE Engineering. Stage 1 uses organic friction material; Stage 3 uses Kevlar. Availability and the work included depend on the specific product. These labels are not universal torque ratings or guarantees of service life.

Choose for the application

Start with the correct clutch assembly, transmission configuration and intended vehicle use. Compare the options on that product's listing. Do not assume that an option offered for one Ferrari, Lamborghini or Aston Martin assembly is available or interchangeable with another.

Consider the complete system

Friction material is only part of a functioning clutch system. Flywheel condition, pressure-plate condition, release operation, installation and setup also matter. A material upgrade cannot correct oil contamination or an unresolved control fault.

Questions to resolve before ordering

Confirm what must be shipped, whether flywheel service is separate, which components are being refurbished and whether additional parts may be needed after inspection. Use current product pages for prices rather than an older article or email.

After the rebuild

Follow the installation and use instructions supplied for the selected assembly. Keep the service records with the car and contact GTE Engineering if the scope or documentation is unclear.
